I’ve been coasting lately. Not in a bad way, but I just realised that I was comfortable - too comfortable. If I don’t have a challenge I tend to get unmotivated, lethargic, sad even.
So I decided to start this place - the next hard thing. A new challenge. Maybe it’ll work out. Maybe not. The point is the find a hard thing to do and go out after it. I think that’s where life is to be found.
As an Irishman, I have always been one to relish a good challenge. Life is not meant to be easy, but that is what makes it all the more rewarding. Each day presents its own set of difficulties, and it is up to us to rise to the occasion. It is in these moments that we truly test our mettle and find out what we're made of.
I believe that it is by doing hard things every day that we grow as individuals. Whether it be tackling a difficult project at work or finding the motivation to exercise after a long day, it is these challenges that help us build our resilience and strength. It is easy to become complacent and settle for mediocrity, but it takes courage and determination to push ourselves to be our best selves.
Doing hard things every day can be a difficult habit to form, but the rewards are countless. It fosters a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction that cannot be found in the easy path. It is by facing our fears and stepping outside of our comfort zones that we unlock our full potential and achieve our goals.
Moreover, doing hard things every day has a ripple effect on those around us. It inspires others to step outside of their comfort zones and to push themselves to be their best selves. It sets a positive example and creates a culture of growth and development.
In conclusion, I implore each and every one of us to embrace the power of perseverance. Doing hard things every day may be difficult, but it is these challenges that shape us and help us become the best versions of ourselves. So let us embrace the difficulties and rise to the occasion, for it is in these moments that we truly shine.
